Frequently Asked Questions

Currently, OHIP covers one eye exam every year (365 days) for the following groups: 

1. People aged 65 and over; 

2. Youth 19 years old and under; 

3. People aged 20-64 with a specific medical condition affecting the eyes that require regular monitoring, such as diabetes and glaucoma.

Persons on Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), or Ontario Works (OW) are eligible for an OHIP covered eye exam once every 2 years. 

We can direct bill to most major insurance companies!
